Marriage to Go - Mobile Marriage Licensing and Wedding Officiant Services

Up, Up, and Away: Wedding at 4500 Feet, March 2008

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The MarriageToGo process is very simple and fast!

We can issue a confidential marriage license and marry you the same day at any location in Los Angeles County.

There are some requirements for confidential marriage license issuance:

  • You must already be living together as spouses.
  • Your ceremony must take place in Los Angeles County.
  • You must both be over 18 and have a valid, unexpired government-issued ID (like a driver's license) or passport.
  • You must present proof of any dissolution of marriage that became final within the last two years, or proof of legal name change at any time.

If you don't qualify for a confidential license, you can still obtain your own public license from any County Clerk's office. We're happy to solemnize your own public license (that's the fancy word for having a wedding) anywhere within California and to help create a custom ceremony to your specifications. Please see our Ceremony Options page to read more about wedding ceremonies.

Confidential marriage licenses are convenient because:
  • They can be privately issued at your chosen location at any convenient time--nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • No witnesses are required, so you can have a ceremony with just the two of you (and your officiant) if you wish.
You can also use a confidential marriage license for your community ceremony to save yourselves a trip to the County Clerk's office and to reduce the amount of time spent handling paperwork on your wedding day.

SO HOW DO I START?

Call us at 310.288.6658 or click here to email us.
  • Let us know the proposed date, time, and location of your ceremony, and how many guests you think will be attending.
  • Also let us know if you qualify for the confidential marriage license and would like licensing as part of our services, or if you have your marriage license already and just need someone to conduct your ceremony.
  • We'll get back to you with availability and a rate quote right away.
Once you approve your rate quote, we'll send you everything you need to get started via email, fax, or snail mail--whatever's easiest for you. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date and time; we even accept credit cards or direct deposit online via PayPal.Com to expedite your ability to make a reservation quickly.

That's it! Once you've made your deposit your date and time are locked in, and we begin the process of creating just the right wedding experience for you.

If you're not sure or have questions about the MarriageToGo licensing or ceremony creation process, we're happy to answer all your questions by phone, email, videochat, or in-person meeting before you choose your notary/officiant--no obligation, of course.

Please call 310.288.6658 or email anytime if you'd like to know more or to reserve your wedding date. We look forward to being of service to you soon!

OTHER QUESTIONS?

Here are some answers:
  • Need a convenient, cozy, and casual place to get married quickly without a lot of fuss? Check out our Home Office Elopement Ceremonies for those planning to elope without witnesses or with fewer than four guests.

  • Do you live far away but want to do some face-time before you arrive in town? We're happy to videochat with you via Skype.Com before you book your ceremony with us.

  • Want to get a basic idea of our rates? Click here to view our Rates page.

  • Looking for dependable coordinators, photographers, caterers, musicians, locations, or green wedding providers? Check out our Wedding Planning Links to find reliable and recommended vendors.

  • California allows proxy marriage for active servicemembers deployed in active war zones. Please do not confuse proxy marriage with phone marriage (phone marriages are strictly illegal.) We cannot issue marriage licenses for proxy marriage, but we can give you the information you need to get started. You can click here for more information, or contact your local California County Clerk's offices.
