MarriageToGo is the brainchild of Elizabeth Oakes, a wedding officiant and authorized notary with a modern outlook on wedding culture. She's a wedding geek with multiple credentials for solemnizing your marriage; she can also issue a California confidential marriage license at your wedding location, which is super-convenient. She has a reputation for excellent personal service, thoughtful and engaging ceremony writing, high regard for your privacy, and careful attention to the security of your data and documents. Feel free to pepper Elizabeth with questions here.
She is the founding wedding and marriage blogger for the national edition of Examiner.Com, a straight ally for marriage equality, and a former member of the Universalist/Unitarian Community Church of Santa Monica. She donates her time and expertise as a Volunteer Deputy Commissioner of Civil Marriages for Los Angeles County--performing hundreds of civil weddings a year at the County's Norwalk offices--as well as volunteering with several local non-profit organizations. MarriageToGo continues to be a "labor of love" that gives back to the community by offering charitable donations and hands-on help to those in need as part of its business mandate.
Enough of the third-person! This is me talking now:
Since its beginnings in 2000, MarriageToGo has been on the vanguard of modern wedding culture. I'm proud to have been a leader in bringing reliable, ethical, tech-friendly services to the public. I hope to continue blazing a bright trail and making meaningful offerings to contemporary wedding culture.
My mission is to always provide a friendly, efficient means for couples of all beliefs and credos to begin their lives together without unnecessary hassle or constraints. I consistently strive to be a trustworthy source of accurate, straightforward information, respecting your time and protecting your privacy. I also believe the simplicity and convenience of a one-horse mobile service gives you more time to cuddle up with your new spouse...and isn't that what being a newlywed is all about?
