"Hi Elizabeth, thank you so much for making our wedding day more than we had expected. The ceremony and manner in which you conducted it was perfect; we simply could not have asked for more! You are a true professional and not a bad photographer to boot."

"As we celebrated our 1-year anniversary, we remembered the beautiful simplicity of our ceremony and your help making our day perfect. Below is a quote that may be used on the web-site if you wish: 'Receptive, understanding and free-spirited, The Rev. Elizabeth Oakes was perfect. Our private ceremony was more romantic than either of us had dreamed. Elizabeth exceeded expectations by leaps and bounds."

Weddings at home

"I needed to express (while still in such proximity to the moment) how much we appreciated your guidance, presence and remarkable kindness. Your manner is so settling and genuine, and looking back we can't imagine you not having been a part of our extraordinary experience.... Again, and from the bottom of our now collective heart--thank YOU! What you do is very, very special."

The Marriage Mobile

This Kia Soul is MarriageMobile #3, and yes she's quite a conversation piece (don't worry, we have access to stealth transportation too if you have nosy neighbors--just ask.) The handmade maple writing desk in the hatch, custom made by local woodworker Paul Gorman makes signing paperwork for al fresco weddings a pleasure. All told, the MarriageMobiles have traveled over 150,000 miles in service to couples around the Southland.

Here Comes The Geek

Whether you style yourself a geek, nerd, gamer, otaku, or anorak, we love working with intelligent, creative couples who make their special interests part of their weddings. We may need explainers for some things, but we specialize in including your favorite obsessions with grace, respect, and style.

An old sweet song

Music is a big part of the wedding tradition, whether you hire professionals or make it yourself. Creating harmonious ceremonies (in every way) is what we strive for.

"Hello Dear, Sweet, Amazing Elizabeth! You are just first rate, so professional and knowledgeable as well as being a lovely person. I cannot tell you how much you contributed to the beauty and harmony of our wedding... Everything you did had so much class– people commented on how your little talk was lovely and informative--we are so grateful to you!"

Doing It Right

"We cannot thank you enough for being our officiant. You were an absolute pleasure to work with and you definitely understood who we are as a couple. The ceremony that you helped us draft was beautiful, personal, meaningful, and clearly very emotional for us. We are so happy that the most important part of our wedding celebration was so true to who we are, and so memorable. We received countless comments from our wedding guests about what a wonderful wedding officiant you were and we couldn't agree more! Your presentation was truly exceptional, and the flow of the ceremony was perfect. Thank you for conducting a beautiful and artfully drafted ceremony that none of us will soon forget."
